The Grievance and Redressal Committee of our institution is dedicated to addressing the concerns and complaints of faculty and staff. We strive to provide a fair and transparent process for resolving issues and ensuring that everyone feels heard respected. Objectives

  • Provide a formal mechanism for faculty to voice their grievances.

  • Ensure impartial and timely resolution of faculty complaints.

  • Promote a positive and respectful workplace environment.

Scope

The FGRC will address grievances related to:

  • Workplace harassment or discrimination

  • Salary, increments, and benefits issues

  • Promotions, workload, and career growth concerns

  • Unfair disciplinary actions

  • Violation of institutional policies

  • Any other work-related grievances affecting faculty well-being

Functions of the Faculty Grievance & Redressal Committee

  1. Receiving Complaints: Accepting grievances related to work conditions, promotions, salaries, harassment, discrimination, workload, and disciplinary actions.

  2. Reviewing and Analyzing Grievances: Examining the nature of complaints through investigation and documentation.

  3. Facilitating Resolution: Mediating discussions between parties to find amicable solutions.

  4. Ensuring Policy Compliance: Ensuring adherence to college policies, labor laws, and higher education regulations.

  5. Providing Recommendations: Suggesting corrective measures and disciplinary actions when required.

  6. Maintaining Confidentiality: Handling grievances with discretion and protecting faculty rights.

  7. Monitoring & Reporting: Documenting cases, submitting periodic reports, and recommending policy improvements.

Facilities for the Complainant

Procedure for lodging a complaint

  • The staff can register their grievances through Online or Offline.

  • After Registration the complaint will be accepted by admin.

  • After acceptance faculty complaints will be processed.

Procedure for resolving complaints

Lodging a Complaint

  • Faculty members must submit an online complaint using the Faculty Grievance Registration Form.

  • Complaints must include details, supporting documents, and any prior attempts at resolution.

Acknowledgment

  • The committee will acknowledge receipt of the complaint within 48 hours.

Investigation

  • The committee will conduct a thorough inquiry within 7-15 working days.

  • Both parties will be given an opportunity to present their case.

Resolution & Decision

  • The committee will recommend an appropriate resolution based on findings.

  • If necessary, the case may be escalated to higher authorities.

Implementation & Follow-up

  • The decision will be communicated in writing to the complainant.

  • A follow-up will be conducted to ensure compliance and satisfaction

Grievance Redressal Mechanism

A grievance can be any type of i.e. unjust behaviour, stalking, use of pretext to do wrong things, dissatisfaction, displeasure, the bad perception among the employee and the students. The institution believes that grievances led by the employees and students should be addressed with a proper mechanism. The institution has accepted it as a policy to redress every form of grievance with great sensitivity. The institution envisions comprehensive development of the organization by addressing all sorts of complaints. Any complaint or grievance related to sexual harassment, the outrage of modesty of women and ragging is handled with extra sensitivity. For that organization frame several committees to solve every sort of complexity with utmost care.

The college has created a Grievance redressal procedure to resolve individual and group grievances of a general character, as well as those linked to ragging and sexual harassment of the college's students and employees. As per the UGC's and Bidar University, Bidar norms and regulations, College Grievance Redressal Committee has been formed with the representations of various stakeholders to deliver justice to complainers.
